Siedle Scope nominated for the German Design Award 2012

Anyone qualifying for the German Design Award has arrived at the top. This contest is not known as the Champions League of Design for nothing: The judges choose the winners from the world's premier designs which set new standards for the future today. The German Design Council has now nominated Siedle Scope, the first mobile video intercom.

Scope shows live and in colour just who is standing on the other side of the door, and at the same time functions as a cordless landline phone and a remote control for the home. Siedle designer Eberhard Meurer concentrated this diverse range of functions into a meticulously engineered aesthetic and ergonomic product. The control elements and menu prompting are designed to permit intuitive operation. The functionally designed buttons provide precise tactile feedback. The functionality of the design is supported by the use of top quality materials and the tangible weight of the handset. Scope is designed to sit perfectly in one hand.
